Transportes Caudete chief executive D. Pedro Conejero has recently been distincted with the IRU Award for Top Road Transport Managers.

This recognition, that was awarded at the 2012 edition, has been received in the form of a an IRU diploma on behalf of the IRU President, Janusz Lacny, “in recognition of his wide professional experience and specific achievements” as manager of Transportes Caudete, according to the provisions of the present IRU Regulation.

These specific managerial achievements include the implementation, within the road transport company, of a set of core values in the areas of moral qualities, labour standards, as well as innovative solutions to improve environmental protection, road safety and productivity.  Furthermore, the managers in question must show loyalty towards their colleagues and their IRU national association as well as an outstanding level of know-how obtained through the appropriate vocational training for themselves and their staff.

The International Road Transport Union (IRU) was founded in Geneva on 23 March 1948 to expedite the reconstruction of war-torn Europe through facilitated international trade by road transport. Today the IRU is present in 74 countries on the 5 continents and represents the interests of bus, coach, taxi and truck operators worldwide, from large fleets to individual owner-operators.

Transportes Caudete is a member associate of ASTIC (International Road Transport Association), the Spanish IRU member associate.
